Yeah, not being able to edit the post due to age doesn't make any sense at all. I never wrote anything in the program that would cause that to happen; the only restrictions to editing is that you can only edit your own posts, and I can edit any post. Heck, I even successfully edited your first post this morning, although changed it back a moment later (just switched the first letter from "F" to "G" and back again).

Speaking of which, I was thinking of making it so that if a post is edited a tiny message will appear at the moment of the post saying so. I always despised those, but now I think I can see why having them is necessary.

Anyway, I'd fix that amulet since having your Con score drop to zero is instant death. Also, remind me to attack anyone wearing a ring of fire with a wooden weapon. 'Cause wood never catches on fire! =D

The idea behind increasing the con is to avoid becoming undead. Why doesn't a red or black dragons breath weapon destroy any of the items you are holding?

Don't blame me for what my minions have done. Blame yourself for being the target.

Wait, are you saying that "when your Con is at 0" it is the Constitution score itself that is being raised to 2? I was under the impression that the amulet was raising the character's hit points to 2 (instead of the 1 point that it would normally do).

I believe the "becoming undead when Con is 0" is only specific to creatures or effects that have that in their abilities' description (such as a vampire drinking a character's blood). From what I can tell, if your Con is drained to 0 under any other normal circumstance, you just die, but you wouldn't necessarily come back as an undead.

Also, there's really no reason for your equipment not to be injured or destroyed by a dragon's breath weapon outside of heavy resistance or immunity. Weapons have hit points, which is what the sundering rules are centered around; it probably isn't brought up all that often, though, because who really wants to keep track of all of that?

Huh? I was thinking when you Con was drained to 0 from other sources then creatures you would become a wight. How ever Damaging Con to zero would mean normal death.

I wounder how fire and acid would affect gear. It has always bugged me that a black Dragon's acid breath was weaker then all the other dragon's breath weapons by far.

I looked it up in the SRD, and wether your Con drops to 0 due to either ability damage or ability drain, you end up dead. So I believe being turned into some form of undead only occurs as a reaction to some specific ability.

Being turned into a wight by default only occurs if you're energy drained to death (unless the energy drain ability describes otherwise, such as a vampire's slam attack turning one into a vampire spawn).

The breath weapon of a black dragon is still better than the breath weapon of a white dragon, the weakest of all true dragons. The average damage for a black great wyrm is 60 points, while the average for a white great wyrm is 42. Black dragons are bottom tiered, though. The only top-tier members pre-epic are gold, red, and silver.
