  • I've modified the [‍img] tag again, replacing the alignment options with a set of surrounding float tags ([‍float=right][/float], [‍float=left][/float], [‍float=inherit][/float]). In lieu of this, the [‍img] tag now has a special option: if JavaScript is enabled, a second URL can be added ([‍img=URL2]URL1[/img]) that will temporarily replace the first URL with the second when the mouse is hovered over it. Naturally, the effect will look best if both images have the exact same dimensions.
  • I've also added some other tags since the last, "official" update… I just can't remember what all of them are just yet.

  • Attempted to update the forum's code to match PHP Version 5.3.13. E-mail me if you find any errors.

  • Modified the [‍img] tag. Now if you wish to align the image a specific way using the CSS float option, you can use [‍img=left][‍/img], [‍img=right][‍/img], or [‍img=inherit][‍/img]
  • Modified the [‍youtube] tag. Now you can have an embedded video start at a specific time by using [‍youtube=N][‍/youtube] where "N" is the total number of seconds. So, for example, starting a video five minutes in would be [‍youtube=300].
  • I've also begun using a modified version of YouTube's embed code that's supposed to be more secure and rely less on cookies.
  • Regarding videos, I've enabled embedding of blip.tv videos. The alphabet-based id tag (similar to YouTube's) can be found by clicking on the three-dot icon between the time and volume control and clicking the "copy embed code" option (just copy it into Notepad or something similar and then copy-and-paste the code inbetween the [‍bliptv][‍/bliptv] tags, as in the example). Alternatively, I've also a variation of the embed code that allows for the numeric id tag instead (which appears in blip.tv urls), so I can always swap it out if that's preferred. I can also also edit the height and width of the video players if necessary.
  • In an attempt to make this page easier to follow, I've arranged the posts in order of newest first for this specific thread.
  • As a slight modification, I've tried to correct the colorization of the horizontal rules; I don't know how well it'll look in Firefox since I no longer have it, but it at least appears to work in Chrome and Internet Explorer 9.

Note: I wouldn't suggest copy and pasting the code in this post as I had to include a "zero-width-joiner" in order to have the code display properly.

  • Added Google Video support (again) because Google still has videos hosted on its server.

  • Added a new, "retro" style, based on the last version of my old "MK-Sonic's Hidden Forest" GeoCities website ("Ver. 5.0")
  • If a thread has more than one page, the additional pages will now be listed next to the thread's name on the primary and board indexes for easier navigation.

  • Added some new BBCode buttons and funtions: subscript (H2O != H2SO4), superscript (Hip = 2b2), and left align (which is the default, hence why I never bothered 'till now)
  • Online recognition: members will be listed as "online" when they log in, and will be listed as "offline" when they either log off manually or don't do anything for more than 10 minutes (it's also supposed to list one as "offline" when heading to a different website or closing out the window, but so far it's only been partially successful in Firefox and Internet Explorer); eventually the online/offline status will be added to profiles user info next to each post
